Whitey's father is a former funk & soul musician who married into a wealthy family with ties to the pharmaceutical industry. One of his former bandmates is the daughter of James Harris, the Multiplex 10's security guard. Apparently this love for Black music was passed on to Whitey, who plays bass and is studying Music at Northwestern University. Whitey might take it a bit far, though.

At the Multiplex, Whitey and Lizzie spend an awful lot of time together, and he seems to have something of a crush on his fellow stoner.

James recently let slip that "Whitey" is also a nickname of sorts; it's short for "Whitman." Whitey apparently wants to go by “Dub,” although no one besides Neil has ever done so.

Chase was previously employed at an AMC theater before working at the Multiplex 10, leaving that theater because its staff was allegedly "uptight." At the Multiplex, he spent his shifts hitting on the women of the Multiplex 10 almost indiscriminately, but he seemed to be all talk.

Chase had a field day on opening weekend for Sex and the City, what with all the beautiful ladies the film brought into the theater wearing their Sunday best, but after seemingly striking gold, Chase apparently got a pair of "surprise packages," and his true colors started shining through (all seven of them).

The Multiplex’s resident Stoner, Lizzie had worked for the theater prior to her introduction in the strip. She knows all the corners and nooks in the theater that the security cameras can't see, and can be frequently seen emerging from them in a cloud of smoke.

A relatively new addition to the Multiplex 10 staff, little is known about Calvin at this time, but he has been seen to be a little gullible, and also somewhat of a prick about it when the boys at the Multiplex 10 take advantage of this for their amusement. After an out-of-nowhere dressing down from Jason, though, Calvin seemed to lighten up a bit.

Gretchen has been playing on Calvin's initial dislike of Kurt and Franklin and the boys by cultivating Calvin as a new source of information — but she may have bitten off more than she can chew recently by getting Franklin fired.

Prior to working at the Multiplex 10 Cinemas, Josh worked with Jason at Pizzeria Paradiso as a delivery driver. Kurt took a shine to his easygoing manner and soon brought him in to the Multiplex.

Jamal was hired in Fall, 2008. Apparently a lot of the girls at the Multiplex 10 think Jamal is hot.

Jay used to be the resident surly Asian movie snob at Flickhead Video, the video store two doors away from the Multiplex 10. He began seeing Becky from the Multiplex on New Year's, 2007, but he broke up with her because he felt she was still in love with Jason. A few months later, Becky appeared at Flickhead Video and asked Jay to give her another chance, although Jay doesn't entirely know the events leading up to her decision. Things seemed to progress well, and they have been officially boyfriend/girlfriend for over a year now.

Jay was occasionally torn between his loyalty to Becky and to Flickhead Video, but when he learned that Curtis had conspired with Gretchen in order to win a Football '09 tournament against the Multiplex gang, he quit — and started working at the Multiplex.

James Harris grew up on the South Side of Chicago, in Bronzeville. From 1951 through 1957, James worked at the Regal Theater in Chicago as an usher, before entering the police academy and becoming a cop.

After forty-some years on the force, he retired and moved to the north suburbs, but when his wife recently retired, as well, she forced him out of the house to get a job.

He has a daughter, who was, at some point in the past, in a funk & soul band with Whitey's father. His son is also a cop.

Little is known about Amy except that she was promoted to shift manager sometime in late 2006.

After Allen's unceremonious departure from the Multiplex 10, their theater chain's home office dispatched Norma to replace Allen (albeit a few months later). She characterizes herself as a "change agent," and takes her job very, very seriously.
