Hello all. My name is Ryan and like Meg and DBC, I'm from Ohio, and more specifically Columbus. Just recently started reading the comic after stumbleupon brought me here one cold icy afternoon. Looking forward to talking to you all about Multiplex and other things as well.

Welcome, Ryan! Thanks for reading.

I'm 19. I'm studying Graphic Design. There's nothing more that you might want to know about me. Just that I like to draw, read, and I'm a common webcomic follower. Multiplex being one of my favorite ones.

That's all.

Hi, I'm Brittany Pritchard.

I'm pretty much an online comic addict. Though I only have a few that I constantly keep track of. (Abrtruse Goose, xkcd, Sinfest, Do You work here?, The Abominable Charles Christopher, Daisy Owl and Multiplex. Obviously.... :P)

I'm not really a movie aficiando. Though, I definitely have an opinion and have a tendency to over-analyze any movie I see.

Like when I watched Watchmen[i] at the end there is the bulletin board that says, "In your heart you know what is right."
Well, I was the only person in the theatre still paying attention enough to the screen to take notice of that.

I remember thinking, "Actually, I'm not sure if I know what is right..."
Course, I think that is the purpose of the movie...to screw with your morality.

My eye for detail really came into play when I watched [i]23
. Somehow i managed to follow the plot while I found out every concievable 23 in the movie. I assigned numbers to letters, added, multiplied and divided in practically every scene.

ANYWAYS! After following the comic for so long I finally decided to get a username on here because of the movie talked about in today's "Notes From The Manager".
I watched the little clip and even read a synapsis of it on wiki and I have to say I'm pretty horrified....
A MUSICAL MEMENTO? Really?

Don't people realize that if you rehash the same story too many times your just creating parodies?

Well, it's a Bollywood musical version of Memento, but I'll explain it further in the Thursday strip and/or Notes.

It's actually kind of a fun movie.

Oh, and hello! welcome to the forum.

Hi all, my name is Karl Ruben. Long time reader, short time board lurker. I live in Norway, study English, and also slack off more than is advisable. My favourite movie is The Apartment, and I'm not just saying that to suck up to Mr. McAlpin. Really.
Other things/people I'm monstrously fond of: Terry Pratchett, Phonogram, Enon, Friday Night Lights (the TV show, although the movie is also ginchy), Secret of Mana.

Good man. Billy Wilder was an incredible director. I can't think of another director who could float between comedy and drama so effortlessly — even within a single movie.

Welcome to the forum!

How did you find out about Multiplex all the way over in Norway?

Thanks for the welcome!

Billy Wilder was indeed awesome. Do you have any favourites among his more non-canonical work?

Funny story! Over here, we have this thing called the internet, and...

"Humor" aside, it's been so long (I started reading not long after you started) that I honestly can't remember. I've read the major comics news sites for a long time - CBR, Newsarama, The Comics Reporter - so I might have stumbled over you there, perhaps a creator I like said pretty things about Multiplex in an interview or something like that?

Hey, Sandy!

Hindi movies, huh? I've only seen a few Indian movies in my day. Some of them have been really, really fun. Some of them have been abyssmal. Pretty much like Hollywood movies that way, except bad Bollywood movies have the added drawback of being really, really bizarre.

Care to recommend anything?

Hey, My name is A. R. Bjorklund, or Hakubi as I go by on the internet. I worked for a movie theatre chain for 5 years, and am currently am getting a degree in Film Production, as well as work for a few production companies doing freelance work such as editing, animation, writing, directing, script supervising, and anything on set when shooting music videos and short films. I have yet to work on a feature film, but that is a goal of mine.
My favorite film is Michel Gondry's "The Science of Sleep" (2006), and since 2004, I've seen basically every film that has been released in theatres. Movies and music are the two biggest things in my life, and it shows in the work I do and the industry I am in.

Hola,

I'm Brad.

I went to high school with Gordon and for the last 5 years have been living in Europe (Netherlands and Germany) and now Japan (though I'm moving to Bangkok in two weeks for a couple of months) as a JAG attorney.

After law school and between a couple legal jobs in Peoria and Chicago and the JAG Corps, I actually worked on several Cruise ships (before getting fired.. twice) and traveled/backpacked the world.

I haven't been back to the States much since 2oo5 and there are many things I miss, and I plan on returning in a couple of years depending if I can get back to Europe.

I don't currently own a television but if I'm not in South Africa next June, I will find one when the World Cup approaches.

I collect limited edition art prints for the most part. I started by collecting prints at Phish shows when I followed them for the better part of the early-mid 90's, but that evolved into more artwork from bands and now I find myself into the street/urban/grafiti art scene. To clearify, I am not into tagging, but rather artwork by Faile, Banksy, Nick Walker, Dolk and Shepard Fairey (who is about as close to jumping the shark as one can get).

While I am in Japan, I have suprisingly NOT found myself getting into anime or manga but appreciate the genre and absolutely love their passion for it. The manga/cyber/video cafes where one can pay by what type of CHAIR they sit in (very popular in Tokyo's Akihabara district) would seriously blow your mind!

In college, you guessed it, I worked at the movie theater.
