Me and my friend Thomas have long been fans of the Zombie genre.

Its ups, downs, blockbusters and miserable faliures, the concept of the undead and survival of individuals and mini-societies during their reign is something we've discussed, argued and ... in one instance fought over. (No, Alcohol was not involved... sadly.)

Well me and Thomas finally sat down and decided to do something about it.

We're taking filming concepts from different zombie films and our own ideas and scenarios and making a web series of life during the Zombie Apocalypse.

This will be.... basically no budget.

We're filming with a camera my dad's company has lent us, using our vehicles, starring, shooting and editing it ourselves with some direction from a co-worker of my dad and we're using our home town, our houses and numerous locals throughout our area for it's set up.

Friends, volunteers, we're taking whomever wants to help, for free, keep in mind.

We're shooting for at least 30 minutes each, and hopefully we'll put them online.

We have some cinimatography concepts and other little tidbits we hope will enhance it all.

well... just thought I'd put the idea up.

A Farming Community.

We're about 15 minutes from the border and surrounded for miles on all sides by fields, decrepid buildings in the middle of nowhere and plenty of abandoned and trashed areas just waiting for a purpose.

Update.

The brief plot summary for the first episode is this.

A young man goes to take care of his Grandmother, who lives with an aunt out in the boonies. The Aunt was in an accident where she tried to avoid hitting a wandering pedestrian, and is miles away from home and still working. The Grandmother is sick with a random illness she contracted after being attacked by a 'druggie' while grocery shopping, recieving deep scratches on her arms.

The Young man spends the night with the Grandmother as the first minor but nonetheless startling reports of violence begin to come in from larger cities.

As the night progresses and speculation begins, the young man worries his Grandmother may be sick with the new disease, and decides on a course of action if it should be true.

Thats a rough draft and we're cleaning up the pitfalls, but yeah.
