Voids guest
strip pages 1 & 2 (off-site
link)
April 11 & 13, 2007
Shayna Marchese's Voids is
one the best story-driven webcomics going, so I was excited
for the opportunity to play with her characters while she
took a break after the end of Voids' fifth
chapter. |

Theater
Hopper guest strip (off-site link)
February 28, 2007
I have to admit that the first idea I had for my very first Theater
Hopper guest strip was running too long (I'm not really
comfortable with the four-panel format), so I used some
lines from an alternate version of Multiplex #123 in
a pinch. It worked out pretty well, I guess! I think Tom
looks a little fucked up in the last panel, though. |

Beaver
and Steve guest strip (off-site link)
by James Turner and Gordon McAlpin
January 30, 2007
James is being modest in his blog entry about this "sort of" guest
strip: he wrote the strip; I shortened some dialogue to fit and added
the beat panel at the end, but I just drew it. |

Rob
and Elliot guest strip (off-site link)
October 17, 2006
When I first came up with the idea for this strip, I just
knew I wanted to have all the robots in the world turn evil
somehow, and that Mr.
Robot was going to be tied to it. Going through the
archives again did the trick, and I figured out a
second character from the R&E universe
to make it work. I'm really happy with how this one turned
out. Doing the little tiny Joe & Monkey, Beaver & Steve and Bigger
than Cheeses cameos was a blast, too. |

Pirate & Alien guest
strip (off-site link)
October 16, 2006
My contribution to Tyson Smith's guest strip month was,
I'm fairly certain, the only strip to not actually feature either Pirate
or Alien, but this is only because I couldn't figure out what
to do with the crazy bastards. I can admit it: I failed to
do a very good guest strip. I had to drag Tyson's happy, friendly
universe down to my own warped level... |

SOCK’D guest
strip (off-site link)
September 5, 2006
How come no one ever notices the T-shirt?

Joe
and Monkey guest strip (off-site link)
August 30, 2006
For this Joe and Monkey guest strip, I thought I would
touch on a bit of J&M continuity by "explaining" why
Kriticbot had disappeared from the strip without a trace for so long.
I noticed too late that he had actually been seen in a strip less
than two months before. Oops. I guess I'll have to explain that someday.

Joe
Loves Crappy Movies guest strip (off-site link)
July 28, 2006
When Joe and Yeo got married, Joe enlisted me to contribute to a
Guest Strip Week, so I figured I'd send the two newlyweds on their
honeymoon in high style...

PvP guest
strip 3
July 18, 2006
This was the first guest strip I did that wasn't really Multiplex in
disguise, but it's sort of autobiographical: I went on a Civ IV bender
for a few weeks right around this time.

WCCA Presentation,
Best Artist Category (off-site link)
July 17, 2006
Jason and Becky took time off of their hectic schedules at the Multiplex
10 to present the award for Best Artist in the 2006 Webcartoonist's
Choice Awards. I made Jason's suit way too light compared to the black
linework on him. Damn. |

Today:
The Comic guest strip (off-site link)
June 16, 2006
Chad Diez’s Today:
The Comic has a brilliant concept, and it’s brilliantly
executed, so I leapt at the chance to do a guest strip for him.
Like all most of the guest strips I do, it’s really
a Multiplex strip done in the format of the strip I’m
subbing for. (I call this one “The Final Cut is the Deepest.”) |

PvP guest
strip 1 & 2
April 16 & 17, 2006
Scott Kurtz asked if I could do a quick guest strip for PVP. Since Silent Hill was opening
the following week, I decided to have Brent and Skull see it at
the Multiplex.
Thanks, by the way, to my friends who didn’t get the
first one (despite the PS2 controller in the last panel), inspiring
me to take the low road and do a
fart joke as a back-up. I sent both strips to Scott, and he
decided to run both of them. This second one is called “Silent Butt Deadly.” |

HOUSD congratulations
strip
February 20, 2006
Michael Rouse-Deane enlisted a bunch of webcomics artists and friends
of Ali Graham (HOUSD)
to create a small book in celebration of HOUSD’s 1000th
strip. |

Joe
Loves Crappy Movies #204 (off-site link)
by Joe Dunn
November 1, 2006
Like JLCM #127 before it, this wasn’t a guest
strip, but featured one of the staff of the Multiplex 10 (namely
Becky). |
