Maximiliano — or “Max” — worked at the Multiplex 10 Cinemas in his early twenties, alongside Neil. Neil and Max were tight, in spite of Neil’s massive crush on Max. (Max is straight, and Neil has had the same boyfriend since they’ve known each other.) Max left the Multiplex 10 to be a “floater” — a manager for Feature Cinemas (the chain that owns the Multiplex 10) who is sent to struggling or short-staffed theaters.
After Norma was promoted to Manager of the Multiplex 10, Max was sent by the regional manager to help her out, against her will. Norma knew Max from when she was also a floater, so she was aware of his… predilection toward fraternizing with the staff.
As things turned out, Max ended up getting entangled with Ariela, who was also involved with Dub at the time. Reluctantly, Neil gave Max an ultimatum between requesting a transfer to another theater or telling Norma about it, and Max chose to leave for a theater in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Max’s first (in-continuity) chronological appearance was in the background of the Prequel story in Multiplex: Enjoy Your Show.
